WATERSOUND, FLORIDA - (October 6, 2008) – The St. Joe Company announced today that the new Village Commons at WaterSound is available to the public for weddings, private parties, corporate events and other special occasions. The Village Commons is WaterSound's central gathering spot and features an events lawn, a community pool and pool deck, a neighborhood grill and a four-acre Village Commons Park.
Troon Golf Club, the world's leading luxury-brand golf management company, will oversee event management and catering at the Village Commons. The company, based in Scottsdale, AZ, also manages WaterSound's Davis Love III-designed Origins Golf Course.
"The Village Commons' natural green surroundings and central location offer a special setting for weddings and private parties," said Shay Bell, General Manager of the WaterSound Beach Club for Troon, and head of event planning at Village Commons. "Guests will be assured the highest quality service and will be able to take advantage of the Village Commons' close proximity to other amenities in the Town of WaterSound, including the WaterSound Beach Club, three golf courses, and the beautiful Gulf coast beaches just minutes away."
Located just north of Highway 98 and the famed scenic Highway 30A in South Walton County, WaterSound is the newest residential community in the Town of WaterSound, which also includes WaterSound Beach, a 256-acre gated community set on a mile of white sand beach, and WaterSound West Beach, a 62-acre gated community with private beach access located adjacent to Deer Lake State Park.
